Wallet and Stored Value
The wallet holds your participant's earnings once those funds leave your platform. It is a Demand Deposit Account in the participant's name, with its own account and routing number and an attached debit card. The balance belongs to the participant to spend, move, or retain.
Participant Wallet Functions
| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| Receive | Earnings arrive from your platform as an internal transfer, without an external payment rail or a wait on banking windows. |
| Hold | The balance remains available without being moved elsewhere. |
| Use | Funds are spent directly from the account with the linked card, anywhere the card network is accepted |
Money In and Money Out
- In - Payouts settle internally and are available immediately. Where a payout needs to be undone, your platform can reverse a payout it has sent.
- Out - Card spending is the primary path, drawing directly from the account balance. Transfers out to an external bank account are available in the wider Embedded Finance line and can be scoped into your program.
Compliance Actions
A wallet can be held or closed independently of any action taken by your platform.
| Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|
| Verification incomplete or expired | Account remains or returns to Pending, and cannot receive payouts |
| Sanctions or watchlist match | Account suspended pending review |
| Suspicious activity detected | Account suspended and funds held while under review |
| Regulatory or sponsor bank action | Account suspended or closed |
| Participant or platform request | Account closed |
Each of these reaches your platform as a status change, allowing payout routing to respond automatically.
Eligibility
Individual and business participants in supported markets are eligible once they complete verification and accept the account terms. Eligibility rules are set per program, and your market coverage, participant types, and any applicable limits are agreed during configuration.
